Introduction
Pulse 46 ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.
We built Pulse 46 with privacy as a core principle. The app is designed to work entirely on your device, with minimal data collection.
Information We Collect
Information You Provide
- Emergency Contacts: If you choose to add SOS contacts, this information is stored locally on your device only.
- App Preferences: Your settings (sound preferences, haptic modes, etc.) are stored locally on your device using Apple's standard storage mechanisms.
- Session History & Diary: If you use our session tracking feature, your breathing session history and any personal notes are stored locally on your device.
Apple Health Data (HealthKit)
Heart Rate Monitoring on Apple Watch
If you use Pulse 46 on Apple Watch and enable heart rate monitoring, the app accesses your heart rate data through Apple HealthKit solely for the following purposes:
- Smart Start Feature: To detect elevated heart rate and automatically start a calming breathing session when you may be experiencing panic symptoms.
- Session Tracking: To record your heart rate at the start and end of breathing sessions, allowing you to see if the session helped lower your BPM.
- Mindfulness Workouts: Completed breathing sessions are saved to Apple Health as mindfulness workouts.
Important: Your heart rate data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers or shared with third parties. You can export your session history for personal use or to share with your healthcare provider, but this is entirely under your control.
Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect personal identification information
- We do not track your location
- We do not access your contacts without explicit permission
- We do not transmit health data to any server
- We do not use analytics or tracking tools
- We do not share any data with third parties
- We do not sell your data under any circumstances
Data Storage
All data generated by Pulse 46 is stored locally on your device. We do not have servers that store your personal information. Your preferences and any emergency contacts you add remain on your device and are not transmitted to us or any third party.
Apple Watch Sync
If you use both the iPhone and Apple Watch apps, session data is synced directly between your devices using Apple's WatchConnectivity framework. This communication happens directly between your devices and does not pass through our servers.
Session Export
You can export your session history as a formatted report to share with your healthcare provider. This export is generated locally on your device and can be shared via your preferred method (email, messages, etc.). We never see or store this exported data.
Third-Party Services
Pulse 46 uses RevenueCat for subscription management. RevenueCat may collect anonymous purchase data to process transactions. Please refer to RevenueCat's Privacy Policy for more information.
We do not use any advertising networks, analytics platforms, or other third-party services that track your behavior.
Children's Privacy
Pulse 46 does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app is designed for general audiences and does not require any personal information to function.
Your Rights
Since we don't collect personal data, there is no personal data for us to delete, modify, or export. All your data remains on your device and can be removed by uninstalling the app.
